Professional standards

Community guidelines

AI Hubs United is built for useful, professional exchange. Different views are welcome; conduct that undermines trust, safety or meaningful participation is not.

Core expectations

Be professional and constructive

Challenge ideas, not people. Disagreement and criticism are welcome when they contribute to the discussion. Avoid personal attacks, intimidation, hostility or conduct intended to silence others.

Share useful, honest information

Do not deliberately misrepresent facts. Distinguish opinion, personal experience and verified information, and be clear about uncertainty. Do not fabricate credentials, partnerships, statistics or endorsements. Disclose relevant commercial interests when promoting a product, service or opportunity.

Respect privacy and confidentiality

Do not doxx anyone or share private messages, contact information or other personal data without permission. Respect confidential and non-public business information; participation in a discussion is not permission to disclose it elsewhere.

Respect intellectual property

Share content you own or have permission to share, and attribute sources. Do not paste substantial copyrighted material without authorisation. Links and short quotations, where lawful and appropriate, are preferred to copying someone else’s work.

No harassment, hate or threats

Harassment, stalking, credible threats, targeted abuse and attacks against protected groups are prohibited. Sexual harassment and unwanted sexual content are not acceptable in discussions, profiles, requests or messages.

No scams, spam or manipulative promotion

Phishing, fraud, repetitive self-promotion and unsolicited mass outreach are prohibited. Relevant professional Offer and Collaborate posts are welcome when they are transparent about their purpose and commercial interests. An invitation to connect is not permission for persistent sales messages.

Use an authentic professional identity

Do not impersonate a person or organisation or make deceptive affiliation claims. Profile information should reasonably represent the person using the account. A home-community badge represents a chosen AI hub, not verified nationality or citizenship.

Topics & Discussion Hosts

Members propose topics for a country hub or the global community. A proposed topic becomes Active after ten unique member supports, or earlier staff activation. Proposed topics gather support; Active topics open professional discussion.

The creator may become the Discussion Host when a topic activates. A Host facilitates that topic, can edit its introduction and can pin or unpin one post. Staff may reassign or remove the Host.

A Discussion Host is not a platform administrator or moderator. Hosts cannot ban or suspend members or access reports. Participation remains open under AI Hubs United’s rules; hosting does not confer control over who may take part.

Direct messages & networking

Keep message requests professional, relevant and considerate. The recipient decides whether to accept or decline. Do not repeat a request after a decline, pressure someone to respond or use messages for harassment or sales spam.

Members can block others. Blocking prevents new follows, message requests and messages between the pair; it does not impose a platform-wide sanction.

Private messages remain private. Staff do not generally browse conversations. If a participant reports specific message content, the reported evidence can be reviewed for safety and moderation.

Reporting

Signed-in members can report eligible content using the ••• menu and Report action on posts, replies and messages, or Report member on a profile. You can report only messages in a conversation you participate in; you cannot report your own content.

Choose the most relevant reason and add helpful context. Reasons include spam, harassment, hate, scams, personal-information disclosure, threats and other concerns.

Reports are private to the reporting member and authorised platform staff. The reported member is not shown the reporter’s identity. Member reports complement automated flags; neither is a verdict by itself. Deliberately false, retaliatory or repeated abusive reporting may itself be addressed by staff.

Moderation process

Deterministic checks may flag community proposals, posts, replies and first-contact message-request text for staff review. Staff may request AI-assisted review of flagged community content. First-contact request checks remain baseline-only; ordinary private message bodies are not routinely scanned or sent for AI review.

An AI flag or a single report does not automatically result in a ban. Staff review context before enforcement. Possible outcomes include:

  • No action or dismissal of a report or flag.
  • Content hidden or removed from view.
  • A warning.
  • Temporary suspension of participation.
  • A ban.

Severity, context, available history and repeated behaviour may be considered. Professional disagreement alone is not grounds for a sanction. Staff may review participant-reported message evidence, but do not have general access to private conversations.

Moderation appeals

Use Contact for a Moderation decision appeal. In the form, choose Safety, moderation & appeals, explain the decision you are challenging and provide relevant context, such as the content or decision reference and why you believe it should be reconsidered.

Appeals are reviewed by platform staff. We do not promise a specific response time. Where applicable, you may also have rights under local law.

Illegal & dangerous content

Illegal content is prohibited. Credible threats, exploitation, fraud, unlawful disclosure of personal data and other illegal or dangerous material may be removed from view or restricted.

Where appropriate or legally required, AI Hubs United may preserve relevant information or cooperate with lawful authorities. This is not a promise to monitor every interaction or a claim of compliance with every jurisdiction’s requirements.

Enforcement principles

Context matters
We consider the content and circumstances, rather than treating a report or flag as a complete account.
Proportionate action
The response should reflect the severity and impact of the conduct, including repeated behaviour.
Human review for enforcement
Platform staff make enforcement decisions; automated flags assist review rather than impose sanctions.
Consistent standards across hubs
The same professional expectations apply across country hubs and the global community.
