Trajectory has raised $45 million in Series A funding led by Sequoia, with participation from Nvidia, Bessemer Venture Partners and Bain Capital Ventures, according to Webrazzi. The round brought the AI platform company’s valuation to $300 million. Founded by Ronak Malde, Michael Elabd and Arjun Karanam, Trajectory said it would use the funding to develop its platform, improve continual learning and post-training processes, and support growth.
The platform connects open-source AI models to business applications, gathers feedback on their performance and uses that information to retrain them. Its focus is adapting general-purpose models to specialist work, including legal and financial tasks. According to Webrazzi, the approach allows businesses to train models without building internal research teams or relying on expensive engineering consultants.
Trajectory also enables people without technical expertise to manage training. Legal professionals can work on improving contract review, while finance specialists can refine company valuation performance. Webrazzi reports that Harvey, Rogo, Decagon, Mercor and Nvidia use the platform. For businesses, its practical proposition is a way to improve task-specific model performance using feedback from ongoing work.
